The HR Miracle Team

Posted in Leadership tagged , , at 9:09 am by helenanyman

Meet Birgitta and Andrea – the HR Miracle Team of a large Global Organization at the European Headquarter in Brussels, Belgium.

During one of my assessments in Brussels, I met these two amazing ladies, and I felt the urge to share their story because it is so unique.

Imagine being in the middle of a shining and promising career when you enter motherhood, or you get to a point in your life, where you just don’t want to invest in a 40+ hours work week anymore. You still have the drive and the passion – but your priorities shift.

Most people make an either – or – decision.

Especially at that level of responsibility. Not Birgitta and Andrea! They wanted it all. So, they came up with a brilliant idea. Why not share a position?

Impossible?

Think again!

I got a taste first hand of how they both formed the ideal team and work hand-in-hand, having a flawless process in place, so that from the outside it appears that there is one and the same person in this position.

How it’s done? Watch Birgitta and Andrea during their interview!
* Note from Helena Nyman: The video is low quality. The interview was made in a backroom during a corporate event. Thank you for your understanding!

Is your glass half full or half empty?

Posted in Leadership tagged , , at 10:16 am by helenanyman

In the long run, most of the time, we get what we expect in life, so why not expect the best? Is your world a glass that’s “half-full” or a glass that’s “half-empty?” It’s your choice, but it comes with enormous implications. Choose well. (Thank you Philip Humbert!)
